British Airways Suspending Flight Operations to Lahore From April

CAA Earlier Notification

Already, the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) had approved British Airways to work non-stop departures from Lahore to London. According to the notification, the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) has granted British Airways permission to land at Allama Iqbal International The airport in Lahore. Approval is subject to a review of the flight schedule or slots upon the resumption of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) operations to The UK, according to the notice.

The Air Transport Department of the Aviation Authority has issued a certificate to the flag carrier of The United Kingdom.

As scheduled, the airline started air travel with direct flights from Lahore, Pakistan to London Heathrow four days a week. All of the scheduled flights were started operating on the Boeing 787-8. They used to depart from terminal 5 of Heathrow airport and used to arrive at Lahore International Airport as British Airways stated.

According to reports, the decision was made in a Twitter post in which we read that we made a number of changes to our summer flight schedule and that flights to Lahore will end in April. After operations were disrupted again due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, operations resumed in August 2019. It launched four flights a week between Lahore and London on 14thOctober2020 and currently operates direct flights to Lahore and Islamabad. On the other hand, British Airways also operates daily flights from Islamabad to connect friends, family, and business.
