PIA Received a Warning from Abu Dhabi

The reason behind this warning is the presence of COVID-19 positive patients on the PIA flights. The warning was not only given to the national flag carrier of Pakistan. The Warning from the Civil Aviation Authority of Emirates

The civil aviation authority of the Emirates issued additional directions for Pakistan International Airlines, noting that the affected airline will be grounded for two days following the discovery of COVID-19 in 7 of its travellers. The UAE's warning also states that if the airport officials identify 7 or more COVID-19 infections twice a week, the restriction will be extended to one week.

 

Following the suspension, all types of PIA flights would be limited to land at different airports of the United Arab Emirates. It further said that all travellers on the flights would be subjected to obligatory coronavirus testing and PCR results. Issues Reported Earlier in September

Pakistan already has received new guidelines from the UAE authorities earlier in September 2021 for the COVID-19 rules and regulations. Moreover, passengers holding tourism, business, and education visas will be administered the covid-19 vaccination booster shots, and they will need to pay for that as well, depending upon the company.

All the travellers between 12 to 17 years of age who are booking PIA online flights to Dubai or any other place in the UAE will be administered a single dose of COVID-19 vaccination. Moreover, travellers more than 18 years of age will need to take COVID-19 booster shots from 3 different companies. It is important for every traveler, and no one is exempted from it.


Payment of the Booster Shots

The revised instructions also included information on payments and travel papers, such as the requirement for outbound travellers to provide a challan for 1,270 rupees. The health officials had set up vaccination clinics to offer booster doses.
